How much time will I need to commit to Search and Rescue if I become an active member of the team?

The quick answer......alot.
The long answer.......alot...RMSAR has regularly scheduled practices EVERY wednesday night, with weekend exercises added occasionally. When you first join and are progressing throught he Ground Search and Rescue (GSAR) training, you will be expected to attend training/classes twice per week, for up to six months. In addition, we have approximately 35 calls per year and in that didn't take enough of your time, we also participate in several PR and fundraising events throughout the year. Once a new recruit has successfully completed the GSAR traing, we expect, at a bare minimun, a 50% participation in all events in which we are involved.
