3 members of RMSAR responded to assist Squamish SAR in a search for a lone male who was attempting to hike through to Pitt Lake. After many days of searching from the ground and air, the search was suspended and the subject is still missing. |

At 23:15 on August 14,2010 RMSAR received a call for a family of four who were overdue on a hike in Golden Ears Park. It was reported that the Richmond family was going to attempt to summit Golden Ears Peak. The underprepared group apparently lost the trail in the dark and became disoriented. Search teams made voice contact with the group on the morning of the 15th and were able to make their way to them. The family was escorted back to the trail and evacuated using a helicopter from Talon helicopters. Other than being tired and hungry, all members of the family were in good condition. |

9 members of RMSAR and 4 members from Surrey SAR and North Shore Rescue searched the brushy areas in urban Maple Ridge for a man who had been reported missing from his residence. No sign of the missing man was found and the search was called off. |

RMSAR was called at 18:14 on August 2,2010 after a man went missing in the water near the day-use area on Alouette Lake in Golden Ears Park. 9 members responded with our boats and located the subject deceased in the water. |
