How much money does it cost to be a member of a SAR team?

Although we have no membership fees, there is definitely a cost to being a member of this team. Personal equipment can be very expensive, and while damage to that equipment is covered while on a task, the initial purchase and general wear and tear is not covered. You may also inccur lost income if your employer does not let you have time off with pay.
